Daeu Angert is a Serbian-American artist whose artistic journey began in Belgrade, Serbia, where she first picked up a paintbrush at the age of 12. While working on her very first painting, she abandoned traditional brushes, sensing that they interfered with the direct transfer of energy onto the canvas. This intuitive decision became foundational to her practice and led to the development of her distinctive fingerpainting technique.

Over time, she cultivated a highly personal visual language and narrative style defined by layered symbolism and conceptual rigor. Her work translates complex ideas, concepts, consciousness and lived experiences into richly constructed visual narratives that invite reflection and dialogue. Daeu has exhibited in New York City, where her paintings have been recognized for their depth, clarity of thought, and storytelling. Operating at the intersection of art and thought leadership, her practice challenges traditional boundaries of painting.

Beyond the studio, she extends her work through the I Paint Ideas podcast, where she articulates the ideas and inspirations behind each piece.
